Description
A robot that can drive is one thing; a robot that can drive somewhere and pick something up is another. This pack adds a five-axis arm to the Smart Car chassis, which is the point at which students start thinking about coordinate frames, reach and repeatability.
Key features
- Five degrees of freedom a full pick-and-place arm on a mobile base
- Memory mode record a movement sequence and replay it on demand
- 3-axis space coordinate control position the gripper by coordinates, not guesswork
- Limit protection the arm cannot be driven past its safe range
- Motion buffering smooth, controlled movement instead of jerky steps
- Non-slip sleeve and blocks included for gripping practice
Learning resources
Programming: ACE Code, Arduino, Python
Tutorial languages: English, Chinese, Spanish
Works with
The ACEBOTT ESP32 Smart Car Starter Kit (QD001). The pack is an add-on and is not a standalone robot.
Please note
This is an expansion pack. It requires the ESP32 Smart Car Starter Kit (QD001), which is sold separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this work on its own?
No. It is an expansion pack for the ESP32 Smart Car Starter Kit (QD001) and needs that base kit to run.
How is this different from the QD022 desktop arm?
The QD022 is a fixed four-axis arm on its own base. This pack is a five-axis arm that rides on the Smart Car, so the arm can be driven to the object rather than the object brought to the arm.
What is memory mode for?
Teach the arm a sequence of positions once, then replay it — the same teach-and-repeat approach used by industrial robots.
