ABS is what most manufactured plastic parts are made of, and printed ABS behaves the same way — it takes impact, tolerates heat, and finishes properly with sanding or acetone. The catch is that it warps on an open machine, so it belongs on an enclosed printer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I print ABS on an open printer?
Not reliably. It needs a stable warm chamber or it warps and the layers split. Use an enclosed machine such as the P2S, H2S or H2D.
ABS or ASA?
ASA is essentially ABS that also resists UV. If the part lives outdoors, choose ASA.
